Development and quality assurance (QSE) of education, research, and clinical practice.
Assuring and developing the quality of the day-to-day activities in terms of education, research, and clinical practice is the primary goal of SWISS TCM UNI. We want to regularly question our offers and processes and thereby also fulfill the corresponding legal standards and regulations.
We are committed to our students and maintain a living culture of quality: enthusiastic employees and high quality in all areas lead us to success.

QSE-strategy
The QSE strategy of SWISS TCM UNI is based on the following principles:
- Quality is understood as the efficient, effective, and thus sustainable provision of services following the mandate and specifications, standards, and needs of the stakeholders.
- QSE is an ongoing task. It takes place systematically in all areas with the involvement and the attention of all stakeholders.
- Goal definition, control, and review of quality are carried out based on qualitative and quantitative information.
- Constructive communication among all members is part of the quality culture. It is a central basis for continuous development.
- Measures are consistently implemented by those responsible under targets. The achievement of objectives is monitored in transparent procedures based on key figures.
- The performance achieved is reported periodically and any necessary adjustments are made.
QSE system
The QSE system is derived from these principles – described in the QSE regulations, in the QSE rules, and the QSE concept.
The QSE regulations comprise the guidelines, goals, and principles of the QSE. They describe the responsible bodies, control instruments, implementation and reporting, data protection, and the evaluation of the QSE.
The QSE regulations explain the QSE cycle (PDCA cycle) and the evaluation cycles. It describes the QSE processes in the areas of quality assurance strategy; governance; teaching, research and services; resources; and communication.
The QSE concept describes the evaluation instruments and their use in the areas of teaching and studies, research and promotion of young researchers, and services. The quality objectives and criteria for all areas are defined in checklists and the key figures to be monitored are quantified.
