University continuing education for training

The Certificate of Advanced Studies CAS, the Diploma of Advanced Studies DAS and the Master of Advanced Studies MAS are continuing education titles awarded by colleges and universities.

Continuing education at CAS certificate level

In a “Certificate of Advanced Studies” you acquire additional qualifications in a specific subject area. The CAS comprises at least 10 ECTS credits.

Continuing education at certificate level DAS

DAS programmes are made up of several certificate courses (CAS). They comprise at least 30 ECTS credits, are based on a competence profile and conclude with a diploma once the qualification has been passed.

Continuing education at MAS certificate level

An MAS is a 1-2 year, part-time continuing education programme that concludes with the title Master of Advanced Studies (MAS). At least 60 ECTS credits are required to obtain an MAS. This corresponds to a time commitment of 1500-1800 hours.
